BRONZE PRICES
If you are interested in purchasing a bronze, you can contact me for an appointment to view it in my studio.
If you have not read BRONZE 101 by now, please take a moment to do so. It's funny and you'll learn a lot.
Each limited edition sculpture represented on this website is accompanied by a price specific to its casting number (e.g., #6/12). If the casting listed is not immediately available, it may be in progress at the foundry, which can take up to 16 weeks. Prices increase as an edition sells out.
Crating and shipping are not included.
- NOTE: California residents should add an additional 8.25% in sales tax.
All prices are in US dollars and are subject to change without notice:
PAYMENT
I accept wire transfers and checks in US funds, and ship once funds have cleared. California sales are subject to state sales tax.
All of my original and limited edition work is sold with the option of signing a Transfer Agreement and Record, and I encourage people to do so. You may or may not have heard of this type of document, but I did not make it up. It gives you a 10% discount; authenticates the uniqueness of your purchase for your own records; keeps you in touch with the artist; and gives the artist a modest percentage of your profit, should you rent out or sell the artwork. (This last bit is to prevent artists from dying in a garret, only to watch their pieces sell in the seven figures at Sotheby's.) Click on the link above to look at one.
COMMISSIONED DRAWINGS
If you are interested in having a ballpoint pen portrait made of something or someone, (Homo sapiens included), please contact me to discuss a commission. Normally I prefer to personally shoot the photographs I work from, but I am most flexible in this medium, and simply require that you own (or are willing to purchase) the rights to whatever photo you want me to use. All work is done on top quality, 100% rag illustration board. Prices vary, depending on subject matter, but are generally in the three to four figures. Fees include domestic shipping, and a 50% deposit is required to begin work. (Travel, photography, and international shipping are not included.)
(NOTE: Final image area cannot exceed 8" (20.3 cm) on a side.)
COMMISSIONED PAINTINGS
If you are interested in having an oil portrait painted of something or someone, (Homo sapiens included), please contact me to discuss a commission. In other media I try to be flexible, but paintings are such a significant commitment that I must personally shoot the photograph. All work is done on museum quality, oil-primed linen, mounted on John Annesley stretchers. Prices vary, depending on subject matter. They can range from the five figures for simpler still lifes to the six figures for human portraits. Fees are payable in installments and include photography. (Travel, crating, and shipping are not included.)
(NOTE: My oil technique requires most subjects to be painted slightly larger than life size.)
COMMISSIONED WELDINGS
If you are interested in having a stainless steel portrait made of something or someone, (not so sure about Homo sapiens just yet), please contact me to discuss a commission. I prefer to personally photograph the subject, unless you own (or are willing to purchase) the rights to a high quality photo that meets my needs. Prices vary, depending on subject matter; but they are generally in the four to five figures. Fees include: photography, design, engineering, programming, laser cutting, welding, black patina, and a clear protective powder coating. A 50% deposit is required to begin work. (Travel, crating, and shipping are not included.)
(NOTE: A limited edition of up to ten copies of any animal portrait can be made at half-price per copy.)
